Have you guys heard of Brian Tuchalski? I discovered him rather accidentally. Truth be told, I used his image here and rather embarrassingly miscredited his work. It was one of those annoying things where I spent forever trying to find a beautiful shot on Pinterest, only to find out that it was miscredited, meaning I miscredited it. Oops. Sometimes I hate Pinterest. He reached out and was very gracious about my mistake… but of course asked that I change the link. Of course I didn’t just change the link, I had to peek around his site. I fell in love with his work. Whether you have lived in New York, or only visited… you will see how perfectly he captures the energy of Manhattan.
I asked him a little bit about his work and he explained that he loves to explore the city and find the beauty in everything… even the traditionally ugly. {I love this.}
Anyway, I definitely recommend popping over to his Etsy shop. So many beautiful prints {and they are affordable, too!} Prepare to fall in love with New York all over again.
{This photo was an experiment where he tried to replicate an Instagram photo manually without the simple press of a button. He partially desaturated, added a bit of a warm tint, and then added a subtle texture to make it look like a photo taken in the 60’s and stored in a shoebox.}

Well it all worked out well in the end! 😉

Pinterest makes it very hard to properly credit anything. More often then not I end up doing a reverse google image search to try to track down the original source. Have you ever done that? If not, I highly recommend it – it’s way easier than trying to find it via Pinterest.
Thanks for introducing us to this new artist! Beautiful work 🙂
Thanks, Grace, for the kind words and putting this profile together! I truly appreciate the exposure & support!

Ugh, one of the downfalls of Pinterest. Glad it worked out for you in the end and those images are stunning.
