Sometimes I wear old things on the blog that I’ve had forever and I feel badly as they’re no longer available. An example of that is this Ulla Johnson skirt. I bought it ages and ages ago and have worn it 3 other times on the blog: here (with realllly blonde hair), here (with tights), and here. I kind of love looking back and seeing how I wore certain pieces… sometimes it’s bad, sometimes it’s good… either way, it’s fun having a visual diary of my outfits. This skirt is one of those easy pieces in my closet that I can just throw on knowing it will go with everything I already have. Ulla Johnson has been one of my favorite designers for years – my sister got me into her stuff and now I’m hooked. Everything I have from her stands the test of time… pieces I wear over and over again, making the purchases easy to justify. (Speaking of justifying purchases, I presently have my eye on this blouse – how darling is that bow!?)
But anyway, if you are looking for a great little skirt that will go with anything? I would suggest this one from Joie or this one from See by Chloe. They are both comfy (pull on waist), cute, and will be perfect even on the hottest summer days. They’re both on sale, too. 🙂
PS – I am so obsessed with my J.Crew Corsica Espadrilles – it makes me really happy that the brand brings them back every year. I bought mine 3 years ago and they’re still in great shape… and they’re so comfortable – perfect for the beach, errands in the city, even dinner! They just made a metallic suede version that is calling my name though I love the darker brown suede too…

Also, if you are looking for a funny movie to see this weekend (especially around Mother’s Day), I went to an advanced screening of Snatched last night. It was very funny. Your classic anything that can go wrong will go wrong sort of film, a la The Hangover or Bridesmaids. And it stars Amy Schumer + Goldie Hawn as mother/daughter, so there is that, too!

I love matching denim with white. There’s just something about those colours together that make an outfit so stylish yet casual!

Thanks Natali! x
That’s a gorgeous outfit! I also feel really bad when I share old pieces on my blog but I don’t shop that much so I have no other choice. Not only that, some stores where I shop the most don’t have online shops so I can’t link them haha
You could always link to similar pieces.. that’s what I try to do! x
ulla johnson is the beeeessst. everything is just so dang pretty!

She really is just the best! x
It’s more realistic to wear pieces more than once, for most people who read blogs. Not everyone can afford to buy a new piece of expensive clothing everyday.
Thanks being more realistic in this post.
Thanks Cathleen. It’s been a while since I’ve seen you comment here – thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Thank you.
Love this look. Ulla Johnson just makes the ultimate beautiful pieces that you really can wear for years. She is one of my all time favorite designers – I talked about her clothes a bit more here – http://www.organicallyemily.com/where-i-look-for-inspiration/

I think you will really love it! xx
This blouse is so cute. I like the ruffles around sleeves. And the skirt is beautiful. Floral add a uniquely feminine touch.
thanks! x
