Many, many moons ago, I was the kind of person who worked at a shoe store and dutifully saved each paycheck for a new pair with my employee discount (hello, Steve Madden circa 2016). Not much has changed. To this day, I find myself gravitating toward sneakers and kitten heels far more often than I realistically need to, but seemingly never enough to satisfy the urge. Putting together this month’s roundup only reaffirmed that habit—inspiring a fresh wave of shoe acquisitions and forcing me to get increasingly creative with my storage solutions. Beyond shoes, I can feel myself growing impatient for fall and the return of layering.
