Bringing the Drama With Black & White Pieces

There is something so dramatic and elegant about black & white pieces. If I have a fancy event on my calendar and I’m not sure what to wear, I’ll often reach for something black and white, like the dress above (I wore this to a fundraiser and felt great in it!). It’s timeless and effortless, and feels more “me” than a little black dress. Truthfully, I’ve always felt that black near my face looks a bit harsh; this is a nice way to get that same polish without washing me out!

What Shoes to Wear With a Mini Dress

As I said in my “Mini Madness” post, I’ve already decided that mini dresses and a fun pair of heels is a favorite staple outfit for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love flowy maxi skirts and breezy midis—but mini dresses are so much fun. They make me feel very sixties glam. Plus, they’re perfect for hot summer days (especially in Charleston!), where too much fabric = hot, sweaty mess. Aside from how easy they are to wear, they’re equal parts playful and put-together. Toss one on to run some errands, or dress it up for dinner with simple styling swaps

Vintage Home Finds, Vol. 6

Another gorgeous round-up of vintage finds… Carly is so good at this! I love how much silver is incorporated in this month’s round-up as I collect silver (my mom has passed a few things down to me and I’m always scouring Etsy and Chairish). This ice bucket, this large sculptural bowl, and this darling snail (it holds charcuterie picks) all rank very highly for me. I also love this set of chairs. They’re perfect and would look amazing in my garden.

Sarah Creal’s New Lip Glosses

Sarah Creal is one of those brands where I seem to like every product they make. I did a longer review of the brand as a whole (this has more detailed reviews of all of my favorite products from the brand) but with No Further Questions, they just launched lip glosses, which I was very excited to try. I love a lip gloss. I got three colors: Calm Down, Shut Up, and Deal With It. Today I’m going to share my thoughts on the glosses, and show you all three shades on.
