We’ve both had gifting on the brain. Over on Substack, we’ve released our first six guides (so definitely pop over if you haven’t! However, when I reflect on some of the best gifts I’ve received, they are often older treasures. I collect antique perfume bottles, and my mom always finds me the most beautiful Art Deco-style bottles. Carly got me a stunning abalone pitcher for Christmas last year. A girlfriend gave me a matchbox in my family’s silver (Repoussé) pattern. In the spirit of that, I asked Carly to make today’s finds a mini gift guide, and I love what she found. I’ve said this before, but I thrive on being as organized as possible. Especially during the holiday season, which is my busiest time of year both with work and socially speaking! I love being as organized as possible. Case in point: my perfectly put-together closet in my first Charleston apartment. The folding, the shoes organization: it speaks to my soul! But I also had a “shame room” in that apartment. Decidedly less curated. I really see my house as my sanctuary. If everything isn’t in its place, I feel off.

In the past, I’ve decorated my house waayyyy early! I’d do it because I had holiday campaigns with brands (and honestly, after the election last year, I wanted something to cheer me up a bit!). It was fun, but by January, I would be over it and ready to tear it all down! This year, I don’t seem to have any holiday-specific work lined up, and I don’t mind that at all.
