And Monday! I hope you guys had a good weekend. I was exhausted from the week and had a pretty low key one, which was nice. I saw Sisters last night and I’m so bummed because I didn’t really like it (such a huge Tina/Amy fan!) I’m curious to know whether anyone else felt the same.
I bought this dress during my last trip to Charleston. Hampden was having a huge sale and Evelyn (one of the store’s amazing stylists) pulled a bunch of things for me to try on. When I saw this one, I immediately thought NO, and she said in her cute Southern accent, “really? I thought it would be so cute on you with booties and a leather jacket.” So I tried it on, and ended up loving it. It’s different from everything else in my closet (usually I do mostly short, A-line dresses) and so floaty + fun. Lydia and I have fun shooting, capturing the movement of the dress as you walk.
I was lucky enough to snag mine for an extra 40% off the sale price (of course it’s sold out at Hampden now because the price was so good), so I tracked down some more affordable versions here (my personal fave), here (love the sheer bottom), here, and here!
Outfit Details: Vince Leather Jacket (old, similar options here + here) // By Malene Birger Maxi Dress (also here) // Saint Laurent Clutch (similar) // Holst and Lee Bangles // Holst and Lee Tassel Necklace // BP Booties
I bought this clutch last weekend at Woodbury Commons. I’d been wanting a gold clutch and well – you can’t go wrong with Saint Laurent. I like that it’s big for a clutch and holds all my stuff.
All of my jewelry is Holst + Lee. This tassel necklace is one of my all time favorite pieces of jewelry and I love their new signature enamel bangles… I piled on six of ’em here, but on a daily basis I’ve been wearing the black one with an Hermes enamel bangle.

The fact that you didn’t like Sisters doesn’t bother me. I like Tina Fey (only based off seeing her in Mean Girls and some interviews) but I knew from seeing the trailer that I would think Sisters was incredibly stupid. I’m not really into movies that are primarily comedies though. I find they’re usually not funny. Romantic comedies? I can do that.

Correction! I mean it doesn’t SURPRISE me!
Good thing you listened to her! That dress is AWESOME. I’ve been gravitating towards all black looks lately. It’s a color scheme that never fails!

Such a gorgeous dress. If I wasn’t so short, I would wear ALL the maxi dresses!
