So, the blog is going to be a bit bi-polar this week and next. Yesterday we were in Cabo, and today we are back in New York, talking about cozy sweaters. Sorry I guess?
This is, as far as I can tell, quite possibly, the best turtleneck ever. It’s made from an ultra-luxe cashmere blend and it’s soooo warm. The product page describes it as “absurdly soft,” and that’s exactly what it is. It’s elegant, but still super cozy. You will try this sweater on and you won’t want to take it off of your body. Looking at it, you’d think it were from The Row, or that it cost a million dollars, but it’s actually from AETHER, and it’s surprisingly reasonably priced – still a splurge, but not ridiculous. If you aren’t familiar with AETHER (and you live somewhere cold), you should be – they make the warmest clothing (they’re known in particular for their jackets), that also happens to also be ultra chic. So warm in fact, that their store in Los Angeles has a walk-in freezer, where you can go in and try on the clothes. And while I love a good Canada Goose parka, the reality is that once it cools down, every single girl in New York will be wearing one. So if you’re in the market for a new winter coat, maybe give AETHER a try? I love this one. (Note – this isn’t sponsored at all, but my friend Sari works for the brand and has gotten me a bit obsessed, so I wanted to share it with you!)
These pants are pretty great, too. I had been wanting a pair of black skinny pants. My parents gave me a gift card to Everlane for my birthday, so I scooped these right up!
OH – and while I have you. I was so honored to be nominated for a ShopStyle Award – Best Everydayย Style! If you feel compelled, I would love it if you’d vote for me! You can vote as many times as you’d like… right this way.

I included this photo for a very specific reason. You know how some girls look so cool with their hair tucked into their turtlenecks? Yeah. Well, that look is not meant for everyone. Case in point.

This post is not sponsored in any way, but anytime I mention L’Oreal, I am obligated by FTC regulations to tell you that I have a long-term partnership with the brand as a member of the L’Oreal League.
LOVE the head to toe black and the red lip. I’m a blonde too and am going to go for this more this winter – looks so chic!
Thank you Carrie! Love blonde hair with all black and a red lip! x

For what it’s worth, I think you look super cool with your hair tucked into your collar, because you had the balls to do it!

Love this outfit. Hope you are going to post your November reading list soon. I look forward to it.
Thanks Emma – I’m trying but I’ve only read three books this month! November + December may get combined!

Thanks so much, Dana! xx
Love those pants! Just curious about sizing. Would a size 6 or 28 in jeans be a Medium? Thanks!
Yes, I think so!!!
I was literally thinking when I saw the picture with your hair tucked in that you could totally pull it off and then saw your comment about itI’ve done it a couple times and it’s a love-hate thing for me. I love that I don’t have to curl my hair, but hate how itchy it is! Lol.
Aw, thanks Catherine!!! I know I feel the same way. I think it makes my face look big – I guess we all have our things!!! ๐ Have a great weekend.
Love the outfit – simple yet chic – but I have to say, when I read “surprisingly affordable” I was NOT expecting a $350 price tag… ouch.
You are totally right. It’s been a really hectic week and I haven’t been re-reading my posts a third time before hitting publish. What I meant was that it’s surprisingly not crazy expensive — it’s so thick and luxurious that it if were at Bloomingdale’s or Barney’s, it would easily cost at least $600-$800. But anyway, I’m sorry for the false advertising – and I’m not so out of touch that I think $350 qualifies as “affordable,” I’m just very sleepy! Re-wording the post copy now. Anyway, thanks for your comment, Anna – I appreciate being called out when I write something that doesn’t necessarily make sense. Xx Grace
That makes complete sense, I get exactly what you mean now (and I’ve done the same thing – it’s easy to miss that you’re not really saying/writing what you mean because you already know what you mean, haha). So thank you for the clarification! For what it’s worth, your blog is one of my favorites in part because you are NOT out of touch and usually seem to find a great balance between “real life” practicality and spending money on things that are truly worth it, which is probably why I was so taken aback. Thank you for hearing me and responding so graciously!
of courssssse. Glad we cleared that up – and thank you for the kind words! I hope you have a great week!!! xx
My partner gifted me this sweater for Christmas. I have to agree with you…it is the best turtleneck sweater I’ve ever worn! He’s been a fan of Aether for years and has gifted me other items from them as well. When I opened it, I told him I thought you wore it on your blog and I remembered looking at the price and thinking it was a complete splurge. NEVER did I imagine it would be wrapped up for me this year! We really focused on fewer, but better gifts this year and this turtleneck definitely applies! Your red lipstick has inspired me to wear it with a hot pink lip next time. ๐
Aw yay – so happy to hear that!!! It is the coziest sweater ever – enjoy! xoxo
