I think polka dots often get a bad reputation. They’re repetitive and maybe little bit juvenile*, but they’re really so, so cool and feminine. I’ve been a little addicted to them this season.
The print is a classic, and pairs as well with solids as it does with prints (like stripes, big florals, or abstracts). Today I’ve rounded up a TON of the best polka dot pieces in adult silhouettes that will amp up your late winter wardrobe. This is a case where the textures make a big difference… think silky chiffon, studded leather, sheer fabrics, and even gold stamping!
Particularly of note: this Zimmermann top (on sale!), these great studded Topshop booties, and a pretty silk scarf from none other than the classic J.Crew. Enjoy!

*Note from Grace: I LOVE polka dots! Ignore this comment! Or don’t, maybe they are a little juvenile, but there’s nothing wrong with dressing like you’re twelve.
Top: Fifth Label White Long Sleeve Top // Fifth Label Black Ruffle Shorts // Kate Spade Planner & Notebook // ASOS Gradient Dress // Polka Dot Lingerie Bag // ASOS Tall Dot Overalls // Topshop Studded Booties
Middle: ASOS Tie Sleeve Dot Top // Deux Lux Tufted Pink Clutch // For Love And Lemons Top // Deux Lux Studded Wallet // Mango Navy Dress // Throw Pillow // J.Crew Dot Scarf
Bottom: ASOS Ruffle Front Top // Mango White Tank // Zimmermann Sheer Long Sleeve Top // Topshop Beige Suede Booties // Mango Dot Scarf
I’m still on the edge about polka dots. On one hand, I find them tacky. But on the other hand, I can’t deny they’re definitely mood-lifters.

They aren’t for everyone! I personally just love them and think they’re actually quite classic, but it depends upon your personal style. 🙂 x
I love the polka dot gradient dress.

I do too! It’s such a pretty one.
This is such a great edit! I love polka dots and have been trying to incorporate more of them into my wardrobe. That black ruffled blouse above is my favorite.
