How nice was that long weekend?! Maybe it’s because I didn’t travel for Thanksgiving, but the past few days have just been so nice. I cleaned my apartment, saw friends and family, and got quite a bit of work done. The perfect mix of productive and fun! This is another short week for me as I leave for Cartagena on Thursday morning. I spent all of yesterday working to attempt to get a little bit ahead… travel during the holidays can be a little hard but I couldn’t say no to this trip!
Anyway – this coat is my everything. It’s truly the best leopard coat. I used to have a leopard coat from Free People but it had a collar and I felt a little bit like a pimp when I wore it. (As there is, for better or worse a diary of all my outfits on this blog, you can see how I styled it here + here – I need to find that red beanie!!) This one is a bit more sophisticated. It has an a-line shape and no collar, which means that it looks great over pretty much everything. It’s an easy fit with dresses + skirts but I also wore it over a big cashmere sweater and jeans for Thanksgiving.
Today I paired it with a new favorite dress (it has a built in cape!!!) and the prettiest ballerina inspired pumps for a look that is a little bit romantic… perfect for any holiday party (just maybe add tights – it’s getting cold!!)!
PS – I rounded up the best Cyber Monday Deals last night – be sure to take a peek at that post… there are so many MORE sales – eek!
Outfit Details: J. McLaughlin Leopard Coat (c/o) // Paper Crown Dress (c/o, also available here) // Banana Republic Heels (c/o) // J. McLaughlin Sunglasses (c/o) // EACH Jewels Earrings (c/o) // Chanel Purse
I had to brave the cold to show you the whole of the dress (more pics below). I love that it’s slightly bell-shaped (it’s loose around the middle so you can eat a lot) with a pretty cape detail that you can see in the second photo. I wore it to a L’Oreal dinner two weeks ago and am packing it for my cruise this week… it’s flattering, stylish, and also really comfortable which can be rare for a party dress!
Also, J.McLaughlin just launched a fantastic collection of sunglasses and I’m really impressed by them! The pair I am wearing is perfect if you have a big face like I do (seriously, I’m not exaggerating – most sunglasses look terrible on me as I have a huge face + head)! If you have a smaller face they will look very chic and Jackie O… on me they are just normal! They come in tortoise as well and I am considering buying those as I love the black ones so much.
The last thing I had to tell you about is my earrings! They are designed by an old friend – Abby Dubois, from EACH Jewels. We met at BaubleBar – she was designing for them when I left, but has now gone out on her own. I love all her sequin pieces – she cast individual sequins in 14k plated brass and put them together in such interesting ways. I also have + love this necklace (it will be on the blog next week).

Honestly, your style choices are always amazing and I love seeing how you put things together. But this BY FAR has to be my favorite look I’ve seen. Emerald? Leopard?? Ballerina pumps??? A built-in cape???? Please. So lovely, and such a fun, sophisticated look.
That is so nice, Sara! Thank you!!! xx
I LOVE green at this time of year, it’s so festive and this dress looks stunning on you!

Aw thank you Dana! It’s really fun. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!! 🙂 xx
What a dramatic dress! Love that color on you and it’s so fun with the leopard coat!
xx
Sam
Thank you so much Sam!! Hope you had a great weekend! 🙂
LOL it’s funny you say that about your leopard coat with a collar, because I have one nearly identical to yours and my husband calls it my pimp coat too. Before reading your post that’s the first thing I thought of – how much better the coat looks collarless in this silhouette. This is a GORGEOUS outfit, Grace. Perfect party look!
Haha, that is so funny. I have another coat with a big fur collar and now that is my pimp coat! Thank you for the kind words, Sarah! xx
um, why doesn’t every dress have a built in cape??! that’s amazing!

Aw thank you Natali!!! xx
TOTALLY in love with this Shoes! They’re gorgeous! And yes, that really is the best leopard coat! Its a show stopper!
Aw thank you Ally!!! It’s probably my favorite thing in my closet right now!
Sophisticated and festive! Love this look, most especially the heels. Anything that takes inspiration from ballerinas is always a favorite of mine because I feel like it makes me look like I have grace. Even though I am the clumsiest person in the world!

I totally agree (and even though my name is Grace, I am the most clumsy person ever too!!!)
I love that leopard coat, especially paired with the emerald green lace. Looking good as always!
