This primer (new from Benefit) is one of the most unusual primers I’ve ever tried, simply because it’s actually a stick (vs. a cream or gel formula.)
I have tried it on two occasions now, and I have to say, it really does get the job done for a full fifteen hours. Also the stick makes it really fun to apply… kind of like drawing on your face with a big, invisible crayon.
Anyway, this primer made it through two tests, quite successfully. I managed to start and end the day with perfect skin, which is not usually the case.
The first occasion was my day in Boston with my girlfriends. It survived a sweaty ride from Jamaica Plain to downtown, a boozy outdoor brunch, a solid day of day drinking, dinner, and two different clubs after dinner (yes, that is how we roll… at least while in Boston, having a girls day.) The only thing I touched up the whole day was my lipgloss.
The second time was this past Monday, which you may recall was HOT. As is my office. It made it a full day of work, a work event afterward, and a double-date with my guy and our friends at The General. (Which, by the way, was one of the best meals I’ve had in ages… but I digress.) Despite the insane heat, my makeup was not affected.
For the record, I paired it with this foundation and this bronzer. I’m not usually a foundation/primer girl, but I have to say, my skin looked good and maybe this will cause me to reevaluate my lazy-girl (bronzer/lipgloss/mascara) beauty routine in favor of perfect skin.
This primer really is amazing! I’ve used it on a couple of occasions too and found that my face stayed even (i.e. no shine!) all day. And I love how fun it is to use!!
I have a sample that i haven’t tried! so trying asap!

Primer in a stick? I’ll have to give it a whirl. Benefit can do no wrong in my book.

I used this for the first time today and I have to say I love it! My makeup doesn’t look as fresh as when I put it on, but it’s a large improvement compared to not using it!
