Let’s talk about strobing, shall we? It’s kind of a big deal and it’s very important.
I’ve always been into highlighter. I wrote about it (+ five other favorites) in this post. While I’ll never be super into contouring (unless someone wants to do it for me?) highlighting is something I love. I want to be DEWY. As dewy as possible. A dewy goddess.
A couple months ago, I was in Sonoma for my friend Jackie’s bachelorette party. Her friend Lia had the most amazing glow. When asked about the products she used, she gushed about the Becca Luminizer in Moonstone. I felt a little bad for her, because every single night we’d all go to her room and ask to be strobed. We looked amazing. My skin had never looked dewier. I literally ran to Sephora when I got home.
So there you have it. This stuff is good. In a few recent posts (this, this, and this) you guys asked what was going on with my skin. This (and a tan from Hawaii) is the trick. I apply to my brow bone + temples, bridge of my nose, top of my forehead, and corners of my eyes. The brush is also important, as it blends it in seamlessly for an almost-airbrushed sort of finish. I dot the product on with my fingers and then blend using the brush. I’ve now gotten most of my girlfriends back home to buy it and we swear by it. Some people use it under foundation but if I do put face makeup on, it goes under the Becca. For maximum dewiness, Becca is the last step.
One quick thing. I have the big bottle, which will probably last me the rest of my life (or potentially just this year as I’ve been applying very liberally). You can buy the travel size and it will last a very long time.
I haven’t tried anything from Becca yet, but I’ve heard nothing but good things. I’m with you on the dewy goddess thing, though. For realz.
Also, I have that brush from Bare Minerals and LOVE it. It’s the perfect foundation blender.

I have the powder version of this and absolutely love it! I think I need to get the liquid version as well! I love Becca products, their blushes are so good too!

OMG it’s so pretty looking! x
First of all – I am obsessed with anything Becca. This is especially the case when it comes to highlighting. The formulation of their products is perfection. I have yet to try the shimmering skin perfector because my skin is oily; however, I have heard such amazing reviews. I think maybe mixing this with my foundation will be the perfect touch for a bright face this winter.

Becca makes the absolute best highlighters! The powders, creams and liquids are all fabulous.
Hi Grace!
I bought this product and love it. However, I don’t feel confident with the application. I didn’t get the brush, and it looks kind of large.
Would you consider a video tutorial to show us less talented gals how to use the brush to apply it? Thanks!!!
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Ooh the brush is everything! I don’t do a lot of videos as they’re really expensive to film (I don’t know how to edit video myself) but maybe I’ll do a snapchat tutorial on video if that’s helpful? xx
I love Becca. I have the travel size in Opal, and I just bought Moonstone. I use the beauty blender to put mine on, it goes on so nice! I also have the powder version in the Jaclyn Hill collaboration as well, and it is really nice, but I prefer the liquid for that extra dewy look 🙂
