beauty adventures: Drybar

I’d heard such good things about Drybar from friends on the West Coast.  When they opened one just around the corner from my apartment, I had to try it.  As someone with lots of hair, I appreciate that it’s a flat $40 per blowout, no matter how long or thick your hair.  (You can also purchase a package of three for $115…)

I had a great experience.  You can choose from a menu of bar-themed looks – ranging from the Manhattan (super sleek and straight) to the Southern Comfort (big and bouncy.)  I opted for the Cosmopolitan… sleek, with a few curls.  I relaxed into my chair with a glass of wine and a few mags, and let my stylist do the work.

{love that they use Moroccan Oil products!}

The decor is awesome – love the stark white interior with cheery pops of yellow.  Fun fact – since Drybar doesn’t do cuts or color, they are able to do white floors and white walls – otherwise, things could get messy.

{not the greatest photo of me, but you can see the hair… the hair is awesome.}

P.S.  Stripes & Sequins is finally on Facebook!  Won’t you please “like” us?  Head here to check out the snazzy new page.
