Beautiful Lengths: Today’s The Day!

Pantene Beautiful Lengths 1

Earlier this summer I talked a bit about Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program, an amazing cause that I feel so strongly about. Imagine your mom/best friend/sister had cancer and lost her hair.. and how anxious and exposed she’d feel (besides dealing with everything else that goes along with having cancer). The Beautiful Lengths program provides real hair wigs to women with cancer… with the hope of helping to get them back to feeling confident, strong and beautiful again.

To date, more than 800,000 ponytails have been donated… and 42,000 real hair wigs have been given to women with cancer.

Today kicks of Pantene’s #8or8 challenge. As it takes 8 ponytails to create one wig, the challenge is to donate 8 inches of hair… or $8. While hair donations will always be the heart of the Beautiful Lengths program, many people are unable to donate (you can’t donate less than eight inches, and if you color your hair, you can’t donate that). As my own hair is (very) colored, I am donating $8 today.

Outfit Details: Joie Dress (c/o) // Vintage Chanel Purse // Manolo Blahnik Pumps // Bite Cashmere Lip Cream in Sherry

Love this. I didn’t realize they didn’t take hair that had been colored. You look lovely.

Such a bummer they won’t take colored hair! I would love to donate my blonde locks, but I can’t find anyone who take colored hair. It would make a good wig too 🙂

    Great cause with pantene, though!

Since this is such a great cause, did you do this post without any sponsorship compensation? That would be a wonderful thing to do for such an important cause.

I bought a similar style dress a couple weeks ago, such a pretty fit and I love the chiffon style material.

I had no idea that I would be able to donate money instead of hair. I’ve always wanted to donate my hair, but unfortunately, I’ve colored my hair way too much! Thanks for the info!
