Beat the Heat / Summer MVPs.

It is hot and it is humid, so today I wanted to share some of the things that have gotten me through the Charleston humidity thus far (yes yes I know, August will be way worse!). From a miracle hair product to the best setting spray to my favorite beach towel… these are a few of my favorite things.

On the beauty front:

Hands down, my favorite setting spray! I was never a big setting spray person (the less steps the better) but have noticed a big difference in how long my makeup lasts when I use this, especially in the Southern heat and humidity. Glow Screen is still my favorite holy grail for protection + glow. There are a lot of days where it’s the only makeup I wear, plus maybe a little mascara. A surprising new product love is Saie’s cream bronzer. I tend to love everything this brand makes but was never a cream bronze or blush person. This bronzer is amazing – so natural and pretty. I recommend getting the brush that goes with it too; it really helps you to get the perfect application.

Last on the beauty front is Living Proof’s instant de-frizzer. I’d be lost without it. I have the large bottle at home, and travel sizes in both my purse + suitcase. It is a miracle product and helps so much with controlling / taming frizz!

Fun beach and pool accessories are a must.

This is my favorite beach towel. It’s so soft and I love the green and the tiger. I need a new beach bag and have been debating between this one and this one… I can’t decide! And I love my Yeti Roadie Cooler (tall enough for a bottle of wine) and these plastic carafes (with lids) are a godsend for the pool.. for wine, water, cocktails, etc!

I have too many nap dresses and I don’t care.

They’re the best and so easy, especially when it is hot outside. I have also been wearing a lot of Farm Rio. This dress is the MOST fun. (This + this are honorable mentions.) And this Amazon swimsuit is just the best. I can’t believe the quality for the price! Last but not least: gold birks – my unofficial shoe of summer!
