My Three-Minute Frizz Fighter.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Review - Grace Atwood, The Stripe

When I was in college, I was completely, utterly obsessed with Aussie. My hair is thick with tendencies toward dryness and I loved how soft it made my hair (as well as the fragrance and the drugstore price point). Recently, the brand approached me about a collaboration and I was filled with nostalgia… so much so that I could actually remember exactly how it smelled (so good – like grapefruit + citrus). I also jumped at the opportunity from a selfish POV. My naturally thick, dry hair was completely fried + thirsty from a fun summer (a trifecta of salt water, chlorine, + heat styling) and I reallllly needed some deep hydration.

For my needs, my personal favorite product from the line is the 3 Minute Miracle. It deep conditions and leaves hair so, so soft, in just three minutes. It’s actually been around since 1979 (and since then, the brand has launched an entire line of products around the cult favorite). Did I mention it’s only $3.00!? You can’t even get a good cup of coffee these days for $3.00!

Aussie’s products are designed for the woman who has better things to do than worry about her hair being dry and damaged. (Hand raised!) There are so many masks + deep conditioning treatments out there that require leaving them on for ten, twenty minutes… even an hour. When you’re in the shower, that’s kind of a long time to have to wait/hang out in the shower. I’ll leave 3 Minute Miracle on my hair for those three minutes, and immediately my hair is more hydrated, smoother and softer; and my split ends look much better. On top of that, your hair is stronger, afterward, helping to prevent against future damage.

I’ve never tried Aussie products but I’ve always seen it as a good brand because of people’s opinions on it. I have extremely oily hair so it’s hard to find something that can control it so I might see if Aussie has any products for oily hair.

Hey Marta! I heard back from the brand 🙂

Does Aussie have products for oily hair? Try Aussome Volume Shampoo to really clean the hair. Follow with any Aussie conditioner or 3 Minute Miracle focusing on the bottom half of the hair, not on the roots.

I second what Marta said. My hair is oily and naturally curly. Will see what they have and give it a try. Always tryin brands and haven’t found one I liked yet.

Does Aussie have products for people with naturally curly hair? Try Aussie Mega Moist Shampoo and Conditioner and 3 Minute Miracle to help lock moisture into those curls.

I totally used to use their products when I was in 8th grade/high school and needed to “scrunch” my hair — so embarrassing 😉 Haven’t used their products in a long time though!

Oh my gosh yes! I used to scrunch as well! HA! That’s a walk down memory lane… (not one that I particularly care to recall, for that matter).

Feeling so nostalgic right now, I can still smell the Aussie hairspray. Do you remember the magazine ads with the entire family in their bathrobes? So funny. My friends and I thought the son was so hot! Feeling very old now…but oddly young! Might need to go pick up some three minute miracle, what a fun post.

Right!!! I feel the same exact way. And yes I do remember those ads (and possibly the son). I know exactly what you mean. Also, I feel like the product was only $3.00 back then… and it’s still $3.00 now? I don’t know how that’s possible!!
