Army Brat

As evidenced here, it appears that camo is going to be pretty mayh-jor this Fall.  I snapped up a camo army jacket on ebay and am already dreaming up outfit options.  (Over a floaty chiffon dress… with a crystal pin broach and stripes… with a slouchy tee and leather skinny pants… with something RED… there are truly endless options.)  I think we’re going to see a lot more of this print, and I for one, can not wait.  Lucky for us, there is a LOT of it in stores right now, if you look in the right places.  KARL (Lagerfeld’s lower priced line) has a ton, as does TopShop.  And if all else fails, hit up the boys department – or ebay, on the cheap.

Inspiration shot from here // Jacket (the must-have piece of the season in my opinion) // Earrings ($8 etsy find)

Dress // Tee (from the boys dept, great price) // Leggings //iphone case // Pocket Square // Belt

Bag // Flats (steal!) // Shorts // Tank

Since I can’t do full-on camo without feeling too masculine, I like wearing army-inspired jewelry. I actually picked up an army pin when I visited my brother on base. It looks surprisingly fun with rhinestone brooches.

I love that idea – super cute. And completely agree with you re: pairing with rhinestones… it definitely adds a fun, girly touch.

I was this close to purchasing a cute pair of camo pants at Zara yesterday but definitely think the best route is a cute jacket!

Yeah, I’d pick a jacket over pants. Though Blair had the cutest camo pants on her site the other day… I want those, too!

Me too. I didn’t have anything and I’m starting with a jacket. We’ll see, I may add in a t-shirt at some point!

So in love with camo… I even have a pair of camo pumas I brought to Israel years ago that I adore. That boys waffle knit is amazing. Love army jacket from ebay idea… thanks!

I just can’t get on board with camo… I think ti is because I’m a southern girl and it has been shoved in my face year round since birth. I just can’t see it in a chic light! I guess I’m just not ready.

I agree with Allyson below…I love the olive army jackets, but that’s as far as I will go. Okay, maybe I’ll try a camo tank but anything more is too much for me. We’ll have to see how others pull it off. 🙂

Yeah… you have to do it in little pieces. I bought a jacket to start, and may get a tee… but that’s it for now. 🙂

I love the camo shoes. They are just enough for those who are afraid of camo. I’m with you though, I love the jacket for over a brightly colored dress and heels.

I’m so used to seeing the jackets, that I’m happy to see camo arriving in many different forms! I think I just may be willing to try the shoes.
