Last week I shared a little wish list with pretty little things I was jonesing to add to my apartment… today I wanted to show you some of them, being put into effect! It’s fun how a few small changes and thoughtful touches (like this carafe for your water, and these copper candles) can make such a big difference.
The biggest change probably has to do with bedding. I’ve slept with a duvet for as long as I can remember, but when I was home at my parents’ house I slept under the coziest quilt and decided I wanted to get one for my own apartment. I like to make my apartment as cold as humanly possible and then sleep under a big comfy quilt. This one is not only very affordable but extremely comfy… I highly recommend it. I went with all white – nothing is better, in my opinion… so serene + tranquil (and luckily Tyrion’s fur doesn’t show.) I also bought the matching shams. (Sidenote: both the quilt and shams are on sale right now!)
Also on the bedding front… just discovered this linen spray and it is the absolute best… it infuses your bedding with the loveliest lavender scent.
Also… for the candles, try the mahogany scent. It’s warm & inviting and just a really nice scent. It’s a winner with the boys.
A faux fur throw at the foot of the bed is a must… perfect for snuggling up with a good book before bed! This one is really similar to mine.

Such an adorable little space, I love how you’ve added so many personal touches! I have a quilt at my parents’ too, but for my own space it’s a down duvet all the way- I like to feel like I’m sleeping in a cloud!
i love your gallery wall! and that rug 🙂 xo jillian – cornflake dreams
Your apartment is so stinkin cute! When I lived in NYC I was held up with 5 other girls in a duplex in the east village…as you can guess, it was not very glamorous! LOVE your little home!

In love with that copper candle! I just picked up a copper tray and a new copper saucepan, which has led my husband to believe I am obsessed with copper.

Love your apartment! I am a huge fan of all white bedding, I just purchased a new pair from Parachute bedding. Love your navy and white rug, any chance you would mind sharing where it is from. I am currently looking for a new rug for my bedroom.

hi nan! i got it at rugs USA!
Your space looks amazing! I want to spruce mine up a bit 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing some snaps of your space! Your apartment is so chic and liveable.. very inspiring!
Your cat is the cutest! I love rooms with lots of framed pictures. So many talking pieces! I don’t think I’ve noticed copper candle holders much – works really well against the wooden table.
Adore your space… so pretty and personalized! Totally a white bedding kind of girl… and desperately need new! Checking out this quilt.

The apartment looks so beautiful! I’m with you on how cozy quilts are. The ultimate bedding experience in winter: a duvet WITH a quilt folded at the foot of the bed. It looks so snuggly!

These look like they came straight out of a magazine! Well done on the decor, I want everything! I love interior design, and can’t wait to someday be able to DIY a whole house!! And I agree on the big comfy duvet blankets…although quilts have a nice homey quality to them as well. This post makes me excited for fall!
