Anchors Away

I’ve always had a thing for nautical chic.  Stripes, navy, cherry red… those things are my essence!  This past Fall, I got really into polka dots… and this summer, a crop of amazing anchor pieces has sprung up.  Needless to say, I want everything.  Here are some of my favorites.

T-Shirt  // Hoodie // Cardigan // Charm Bracelet (on sale) // Embroidered Red Sweater (on sale) // Printed Blouse // Delicate Bracelet // Dress // Sweatshirt // Stud Earrings // Wheel Drop Earrings // Skirt

P.S.  Wear your anchors with this DIY Necklace.  A match made in heaven.

P.P.S.  I’m over at MIMI + MEG today, talking about how I get sh*t done!

I’m not much of an anchor person, but I do like pieces that have a more subtle take on this trend – like the blouse & bracelet…very cute! 🙂

Yeah, you can go bold or little with this trend. Anchor buttons are also a cute (more subtle) take on it!

J Crew has the best nautical pieces, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise 🙂 Love that polka dot blouse too, even though I’m not usually that into polka dots.

Sooo many great things at J.Crew right now! I love them all. The blouse is actually mini anchors – they just look like dots! (I want it so badly!)

I do love anchors cause they represent summer in the clearest way. Even dough I prefer it on the jewelry pieces. This bracelet is simply stunning!

Oh man. I was a Delta Gamma and our symbol was the anchor. The Christmas after I pledged my mom really went anchors away… so now I’m trying to get back into anchors just as a trend. I love the vintage vibe of the sweatshirt!

And thanks for the link to your interview with MIMI + MEG… I really like your views on balance 🙂

Haha – my sister was a DG too. I used to always find anchor things with her. I was a Gamma Phi and ours was a crescent moon – not nearly as cool!

would it be ridiculous if i wore my anchor tee with the anchor skirt? i mean…then i would be super grounded.

Nautical style is so cute! In college, one of our sororities had the anchor as their symbol so I kind of got away from wearing anchors just because I was more in to repping my own sorority, which had the skull & crossbones and the owl as our symbols. (Not as cute, I know.)

I actually love skulls just as much as anchors. My symbol was a crescent moon – not nearly as cool as either!!!

I was slightly heart broken when that red sweater was sold out but I called and they were able to find me one in my size. Thanks so much for doing the leg work for me and finding it! I’ll be following your blog from here on out! 🙂
