When I wrote this post title, I immediately thought of my favorite doll growing up. I had Kirsten of course… I had to have the blonde doll. My sister Becca had Samantha, and I was incredibly jealous of Samantha’s Victorian outfits. I mean… Samantha had a fur muff, where Kirsten had an apron. Major bummer, though the glasses were pretty cool. Our youngest sister Meredith was stuck with Molly… one of the pitfalls of being the youngest – always choosing last. Now there are a million American Girl dolls, and you can even build your own (I think). Things were so much simpler back then.
Lydia and I shot these photos in Williamsburg, at the coolest American flag wall. I love the stripes, naturally. This top is a current favorite. It’s so, so soft… and is the perfect layer over pretty much everything. I bought it during my initial hunt for cute tops to wear on dates, but I wear it all the time now just to stay warm – over dresses, tanks… even my yoga clothes!
PS – The third video I filmed with L’Oreal and AOL is up! This time around, we tackled the smokey eye. You can view it right this way…

Loved my American Girl dolls and also loved your smoky eye video! I feel the same way about being nervous to try and more dramatic makeup look. Will there be a tutorial up anytime soon?
The top looks super plunging on the Free People website but more modest and possibly work-appropriate in your pics. Is it pretty easy to keep it modest while moving around in real life?
Love Burberry’s trenches 🙂

First, I love this American flag wall!! Second, I had Kristin too! We have the same birthday, blonde hair and blue eyes… it was a match made in heaven! She didn’t have the best outfits, but she was always my favorite! 🙂
