Today I wanted to talk a little about my upcoming collection with Amazon the Drop! If you are not familiar with The Drop, it’s pretty cool. A few times a month, they bring on influencers to design a collection for them. The collection is only available for THIRTY (yes 3-0!) hours, and then it’s gone forever. The really cool thing is that everything is made to order and then ships (incredibly quickly!) within 2-3 weeks.

My collection is going to be a breezy mix of easy dresses, kaftans, and even a couple tops.

I’m heading into the city today to finalize the collection with the team and am so excited. We’ve worked really hard to develop a bold colorful palette that I really love (think emerald green and colorful animal prints), and silhouettes that will look good on every body type. I am truly so excited for it. After we finalize the designs TODAY, I am taking my samples to Miami on Thursday and shooting the whole collection there. I can’t WAIT!

I have a highlights section on my Instagram which outlines the whole process. From mood board to pattern development and beyond! I get asked a lot about when it will launch but the best thing you can do is to sign up for SMS updates – any time a new collection drops (only a couple times a month), you’ll get a text so that you can be first to shop. I signed up a couple months ago to test this (and make sure it wasn’t a deluge of texts!) and it’s not. It’s literally only a text when there’s a new drop. So sign up, and in the meantime I will be posting all the behind the scenes to Instagram stories. This has been such a cool experience, one that I am very grateful to Amazon for.

The Drop’s Staples Collection

In the meantime today I wanted to highlight The Drop’s Staples line! They actually sell AMAZING basics at great prices. Everything I’m wearing in today’s post is from their staples line, and I’ve rounded up a few more favs below! (I get stopped and asked about these mules all the time, can you believe they are only $50?)

outfit details: Blazer, Turtleneck, Fanny Pack, Jeans, Heels (all c/o Amazon The Drop)

clockwise from top left: White Mini Pouch Bag (I got this in white and red; it’s so cute) // Cream Beanie Hat // Python Belt Bag (also in black or red) // Tan Tote Bag// Oversized Cardigan Sweater// Tie Dye T-Shirt // Tan Fringed Scarf // Utility Pocket Shirt // Lace Trimmed Camisole // Trench Coat // Black Blazer // Red Block Heeled Sandal // Pink Square Toe Sandal // Heeled Mule // Denim Shorts

The Drop's Staples collection

The Drop’s Staples collection has so many good things. I will be styling my collection alongside many of them. I accidentally excluded two of my favorite pieces: this sweatshirt and these joggers… the perfect (blush pink, or try another color!) sweatsuit for travel!

All my Drop faves are also saved to my Amazon Shop under The Drop Favs, if that is easier to remember! My amazon shop URL is amazon.com/shop/graceatwood… I update it every week with picks across books, beauty, fashion, home, and more (like those random things you’d never know you can get on Amazon like Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel seasoning and Ken’s Italian salad dressing!!)

Grace so excited for this! please say your collection will have plus sizes / 1x or 2x? most of the drops if not all have not included this sizing. i would buy so much if they did! thanks!

      Hi Kayla!
My collection will go up to an XXL. I really pushed them to be fully inclusive and they weren’t ready yet. I do know that this summer they will be launching their first inclusive collection (up to a 4X!) and after that, all future collections will be XXS-4X. So they are getting there, and if my collection performs well they’ve told me that I can do a second, fully inclusive collection.

Hi – I’ve ordered twice from Amazon The Drop. Not the basics, the ones that are only available for a couple days and have been burned twice now because the quality & fit is SO SO horrible. I always trust you but I am also hesitant since you cannot return. Can you confirm that the quality of the fabrics is not “flammable” as I like to call it.

      Hey Kendall!
It’s a really affordable collection (everything will be under $100, probably less!) so it’s of course not going to be say, Ulla Johnson quality, but I’m really happy with the quality.. it’s all things I feel good putting my name on. I haven’t tried any of the other collections though. The pieces in my collection are either 100% tencel (the green leopard and white print) or 100% viscose (the emerald green or the red leopard print). I don’t really know what to tell you though – if you don’t feel comfortable ordering, don’t do it!

Thank you so much for the reply!! It means a lot that you wouldn’t put your name on anything you didn’t love!

Of course – I mean that would be insane!

ALSO your note about returns didn’t feel right so I reached out to the brand. Here’s what they said!

Any items purchased from The Drop are eligible for return. Customers would use the normal Amazon returns process.
Since all items are made-on-demand, we do charges for returns. The actual fee is calculated based upon the weight / size of the package and where it is being shipped from. (I think that’s around $5 or 10 but it varies).

If a garment is faulty, customers are eligible for a free return!

Hi Grace- I love your style, podcast, & book recs (you need to trademark “treat yourself to a murder”), and just felt compelled to thank you for putting so much awesome content into the world! I work in marketing and often have clients that struggle with things like consistent posting and engagement, and you truly just have it down. So excited to see your collection!
