Maybe it’s post-vacation optimism but I’m so happy that the weather is finally getting a little warmer! (Well, besides the fact that it’s supposed to rain all day today!) I missed yesterday’s gorgeous weather but I’m feeling good about it. Before I left for Mexico I took out all my Spring jackets and coats and packed away two of my puffers (please don’t let this be premature!!!)
Holbox was so nice! It was a very quick little girls’ trip (4 nights; three full days) and I fell in absolute love with the island and our hotel. I got a lot of questions about getting there (and I’ll have a full post about the trip next week) but it’s definitely a bit of a hike. You fly to Cancun, drive two hours, take a half hour ferry, and then a 10 minute golf cart ride. There are no cars on the island which is charming and really wonderful – they have golf cart cabs instead! I always find that the best destinations are a little more remote (like Santa Teresa!) so it’s definitely worth the adventure in my opinion.
I will say that yesterday’s travel day was pretty exhausting.
We left at 8am and didn’t get home til 11pm! What happened to us definitely isn’t the norm but it made for a doozy of a day. Someone on my plane took drugs (MDMA – wtf!?!) and had a bad reaction, we had to land in Miami to get him off the plane, and then the plane was suddenly too heavy so we had to go through a two hour long inspection; all while being stuck on the plane because it was an international flight! We were supposed to land at 6:15 and didn’t land til after 9. Oof!

This week is going to be a busy one. But I’m happy to be back home for a little bit before I go to LA next week with Sephora. V. excited for that trip and can’t wait to share more. As for this week, we’re recording a few new eps of the pod to get ahead. Also, I have lots of meetings and a couple shoots. There is never a dull moment around here these days and for that, I’m grateful!
