A Sunday Lust List

lust-list

I hadn’t mentioned it here yet, but a couple weeks ago I decided that I would take a three month break from purchasing clothing or accessories for myself.  My coworkers laughed at me when I told them this, but the truth is that when I set my mind to something, I have surprisingly good will power.  The spending freeze was for two main reasons.  First of all, I have too much stuff.  I want the next few months to be about paring down, being more responsible, simplifying, and saving for a few key investment pieces.  Secondly, our roommate is moving out.  I’m sad to see him leave us, but really excited about the prospect of having a desk/little home office area.  So, discretionary income this month will be paying for all that stuff.  That said, there are quite a few things I’m lusting after.  No harm in window shopping, right?

Darling Sweater // Gold Heels (the soles are glittered!!) // Cube Stud Earrings // Glass “Diamond” // Lucite “G” // Emerald Bracelet (even better in person) // Lucite Cuff (have been trying unsuccessfully to make one) // Rose Gold Sandals (found via Dena, can you believe they are under $25?) // Clutch // Notebook // Black Dress (check out the back – sick.)

such a good list! i’ve been lusting over about half your list (especially a TB lucite “S” + yet have been in the same mindset. I’m purchasing very, very little because we just have too much stuff, crap, things, whatever you want to call it. I’m trying to sell, return what has tags and just make smarter investment purchases. Just bought a pair of TB sandals after lusting for ages and realizing no other black sandal has compared. Worth not buying other things.
OK, rant/vent done (this might be inspiring a more lengthly vent sesh on TAGG, ps! hhaa, can you tell?).

I have been wanting that sweater since the day I saw it. I think it’s great you’re on a spending freeze. I am sure I need to do that too. I like to think it counts when I limit myself to one item a month, but that’s nothing compared to what you’re doing! Let us know how that goes. I have faith in you.

    Have a wonderful day, Grace!

Glitter n’ Glue has a great resource for the lucite tube required for the cuffs.

That is a great goal, I have been contemplating doing something similar. Sometimes I find that window shopping almost serves as a replacement for buying, almost…
