Who are your favorite people to follow on Instagram?
I have a lot of favorites but one in particular is Amy from Fashion Jackson. Her style is so simple and understated (but always elegant). Her feed is full of outfit inspiration – all using basic pieces you probably already have in your closet. This is such a simple thing but a while ago she posted an all black outfit with a trench and I just loved how it looked. So here I am with my version. She styled hers with a Burberry trench (here) but I didn’t want to be too SWF-y so I paired mine with my BB Dakota trench.
I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was chock full of entertaining. I hosted a Friendsgiving celebration on Friday night and a fun girls’ brunch yesterday. So I’m a little bit beat (and still have more cleaning to do!!!) but it was a lot of fun. One of the best parts of my new(ish) apartment is how perfect it is for having people over. I’m a bit of a homebody but still love to socialize so I’m always the happiest when I get to have friends over. So nice. Also, I am now almost through The Proposal (we’re talking about it on the podcast a week from Weds) and it’s SO CUTE. I love Jasmine Guillory – she does a steamy but non-cheesy love story so well. If you’re looking for a cute read I can’t suggest it enough!
Outfit Details: BB Dakota Jacket (last seen in this outfit post, now on sale!)// J.Crew Bodysuit // Gucci Belt // Manolo Blahnik Heels // American Eagle Jeans // Cult Gaia Earrings // Polaroid Sunglasses

I love the colour of the coat – and it looks so lightweight as well! So suitable for fall in Hong Kong! 🙂

Thanks so much, Michael!
You look great! Simple, but elegant & timeless. Just picked up “The Proposal” during a Target run (just finished “All You Can Ever Know” by Nicole Chung, a memoir of her journey to discover her birth family). Can’t wait to read this new book! Based on your recommendation, I read “The Wedding Date” and totally loved it.
I’m loving it so much so far!!! I think maybe even more than The Wedding Date!
Grace! Jasmine Guillory, author of The Proposal, is going to be in Brooklyn doing an event for this book next week! It’s 11/13 at 7:30 at Books are Magic!
How fun! Love her!
Love a good all black outfit with a pop of camel. So classic.
And entertaining is one of my favorite things to do, I wish I had a bigger table like yours!
