Have you heard of the #sturmglow? I’ve been a big fan of Dr. Barbara Sturm’s for a while (her Hyaluronic Acid Serum is amazing, and I already loved her Enzyme Cleanser!!!) but wasn’t familiar with that term – or her Glow Drops until earlier this Fall.
Let’s back up: through my partnership with Sephora, over the past two months I have had the opportunity to try a few of her products. I have been testing out three products from Dr. Barbara Sturm since early October. I have fallen in love with this brand but also: Dr. Sturm is a girl after my own heart… she’s all about science-driven skincare and getting that GLOW! Everything I tried was wonderful… but one product in particular really blew me away.
A New Favorite for Glowing Skin
Dr. Sturm makes luxury, science-driven, high-quality skincare products. And like I said above, I loved everything I tried but one product really blew me away – her Glow Drops. WOW. Guys. These are insane. Instant new fav/holy grail status.
I have so much to say about the Glow Drops. They are magical, meant to revitalize tired, dull skin… and restore radiance. In a sentence, they’re an instagram filter in a bottle. Wild Rose Extract refines pores and evens out the skin… hyaluronic acid plumps and hydrates, and optical pigments give the skin instant shimmer and glow. As if that weren’t enough, purslane boosts Vitamin A and Omega 3 acids, while reducing irritation.
There are a few ways to use these.
one // You can mix them with your face cream, foundation, or primer for extra hydration and glow.
two // My favorite: you can apply them after moisturizer and skip makeup…you’ll just look a little glowier and more radiant.
three // Or, you can tap it onto the skin after makeup and use it as a highlighter.
No matter how you use them, be prepared to glow. I will also add that you only need a little bit so the bottle will last a long time.
I also had an opportunity to try her Cleanser.
This is an excellent face wash; I loved how gentle it was… foaming up to remove impurities and ready the skin for moisturizer. It’s very calming – with aloe vera to repair and rejuvenate while purslane calms, soothes, and hydrates.
Last but not least, her Face Cream.
Full disclosure, I have very very dry skin and need a bit more moisture so would apply oil after using this, but I still thought it was a very good moisturizer. Similar to the cleanser this cream is also very calming and gentle, and I love how weightless it is: it sinks in immediately. If you have combination skin this would be your perfect moisturizer.
