Beachy Summer Essentials.

Hi from London! Okay, first thing first… God bless antibiotics. Seriously. Monday and Tuesday felt like a deathbed, and yesterday morning I woke up a brand new person. It took a while for them to kick in but I feel so so so much better. I have to remember to take it easy this trip and not do/see/eat/drink all of the things (weddings make me especially enthusiastic), but I am just so grateful to be feeling better… it would have been such a bummer to cancel this trip!

Today I am taking it easy and exploring the city. There is a cool opening at The Serpentine Gallery tonight that I’m meeting my friend Ruby to see… and then we have fun dinner plans with her husband. I feel so lucky to have a lot of friends in London… it’s one of my favorite cities! I’m also hoping to see the Pink Floyd and Balenciaga exhibits at the V&A today… they both look great! Follow along on insta-stories to see what else I do (hopefully it isn’t radio silence over there – that would mean I opted for a nap).

Anyway, this dress is such a good one. It’s white so it’s summery and pretty, but the denim gives it a little edge making it perfect for the city. And it is so, so comfortable. I packed it for this trip and think that it’s the perfect site-seeing dress. Comfy, cozy, cute… washable!!! I’m really looking forward to a few days of exploring one of my fav cities… and of course, Briony’s wedding on Saturday!

Ugh this bag is so good. The nicest thing happened. After featuring the bags in this post, Pamela Munson reached out, offering to send me one. It’s even prettier in person if you can imagine.

The neutral colour scheme is really nice. Love the dress too – I like loose-fitting dresses in general, they’re great for summer!

I love this look. I’ll try to copy it somehow. Maybe I can wrap a navy scarf around a bag’s handles to copy that purse.
Great summer look. I’m glad you’re feeling better, and I hope you have fund on your trip.

That is SUCH a smart idea!!! The handles are actually a very wide grosgrain ribbon. I feel like you could probably find something similar at the craft store and if you are feeling creative, replace a bag’s handles with it? This would look really cute with the bag I have from Etsy.

Oh I am sending you an email too but remember my Cult Gaia bag? Here is an identical version for less. It’s currently out of stock but I bet it will come back soon! Keep an eye out for it. http://bit.ly/2t3WNpH

Great ideas. I’ll have to take a trip to the craft store soon and look for some similar ribbon.

Thanks for the info on the bag. Love that, and I’ll keep an eye out for it.
