5 Thoughtful Hostess Gifts

1)  Flowers are a given, but if you put a little bit of thought in, they turn into an extra special gift.  I usually buy two bouquets… one light pink, and one off white.  I keep a dozen for home and take a dozen with me… arranged in a pretty bouquet from dark to light (nice little ombre effect!) and tied with a plush velvet ribbon.

2)  Wine is an obvious choice, but you can spruce it up a little bit too.  I like Sofia Coppola – besides the fact that it is delicious, the packaging is really beautiful.  I take my go to, Blanc de Blancs, and add a velvet ribbon and tie on some sparklers (only a good idea if you are going to an outdoor party, I should note!) to give it a special touch.  Another fun option to dress your wine is Society Social’s Wine Totes, which you know I love.

3)  You can’t go wrong with a classic coffee table book.  This one, by Amy Sacco is a chic choice.

4)  Wine minis are another great gifting choice (and a little bit more fun/inventive.)  These little minis are my beverage of choice right now… they are just so cute!  These ones come with their own straws, I like to include a handful of striped paper straws, tied with a pretty bow.

5)  If all else fails, I keep pretty soaps + candles on hand  for last minute party plans.  Fresh makes the most heavenly scented soaps… {I keep them in my drawers too} and Joya makes luxe candles (this mini set is another fab option) that come in the most interesting/amazing scent combinations!

What great ideas, Grace! I think the extra time spent to make things look pretty allows even a $10 bottle of wine to feel special!

I try to always bring wine or flowers to a dinner party or get together, but I love your ideas of velvet ribbons + striped straws. I just got some striped straws which I loveee, and they are such a fun touch!
