It’s been a little while since my last beauty post and today I wanted to just share five products that have made their way into my everyday beauty arsenal.
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer is one of the best drugstore night creams I’ve ever tried. If you are looking for bang for your buck, this is it. So often, drugstore products contain so many “filler ingredients” and lack the high-tech active ingredients. This one is packed with high quality actives that really work… Retinol SA, Glucose Complex, + Hyaluronic Acid. The product has incredible results; both short term + long term. Immediately after application, my skin felt more hydrated, instantly renewed, and considerably smoother. After using every night for a week, my skin was smoother + brighter, and my crows feet + the fine lines on my forehead were much less visible.
Arcona Pumpkin Lotion 10% has become my go-to body moisturizer. I am completely obsessed with it. I use it every day without fail and it has really helped to evenout my skintone and smooth my naturally very dry skin, which can get rough and bumpy. I have keratosis pilaris (those annoying little bumps) on the back of my arms and this is one of the only things that has helped to minimize it. I will warn that it will make your skin really tingle, but that’s the 10% glycolic acid at work. It smells like a pumpkin spice latte (though maybe not quite as strong or sweet) and leaves the skin on your body as radiant, glowy, and smooth as the skin on your face. It’s also all organic and natural, to boot!
Everyday Oil is my friend Emma’s company. Prior to launching her brand, she was always making us our own little homemade oil blends that you could use on everything (hair, body, face, nails). The oils are organic + cold pressed (with natural steam-distilled essential oils), so hydrating (but not greasy) and smell incredible. I wish Emma put her face all over their website as she could be the perfect poster girl/model for it. She’s in her thirties but wears no makeup and has completely perfect skin. Try the smaller size. Before you know it you’ll be ordering the larger size every month. It’s seriously just. so. good.
Agent Nateur x Shiva Rose. While I try to use as many organic/all-natural products as possible, I am not always very diligent. The one product that I am adamant about using all-natural for is my deodorant. You may remember the post I wrote about Agent Nateur. It is my FAVORITE natural deodorant. I’ve tried them all and this one is the absolute best, far and away. I was so excited when they collaborated on a rose scent with Shiva Rose as it smells heavenly… sexy, even… which is saying a lot for deodorant. I love that it also contains sandalwood, which makes it a bit more musky/woody and not just sweet roses.
Laura Geller Powders A couple weeks ago, I attended a little cocktail party at Laura Geller’s home. I’ve tried a lot of her products in the past but maybe I had forgotten how pigmented and beautiful the powders (especially the eye shadows + bronzers) are. I really love this set. All of the powders are baked on terracotta for 24 hours, which results in a luxuriously creamy product that stays on all day. This set has everything you could possibly need. Bronzer, blush, highlighter… and three very neutral eyeshadows… plus, a high quality brush. It’s sort of the best and I’ve been using every single product in this palette on a daily basis!
