Gift Guide: Father’s Day

Why are dads so darn hard to shop for!?  My dad is what we’d call the anti-consumer.  He’s not really into new clothes, doesn’t wear fragrance, and although he likes his gadgets + toys, always seems to have everything!  He loves his music, but that’s so hard to buy – unless he gives me explicit instructions.  Anyway, none of these gifts scratch the surface in terms of being as awesome as my dad is… but they’d all make great gifts!  (How cute is the card – Rifle makes the best stationery!) What are you getting your dad this year?  And does anyone else share the same “hard to shop for” woes that I have?

your description of your dad fits mine to a tee, as well! i never know what to get him, although i have had some success with interesting wines found on Lot18 (do you know it? i think they do a great job, and great customer service, too!)

it is true for men in general. I have this problem with my husband – i never know what is the best gift to buy for him. we women are sooo much easier.

Literally all my dad wants is quality golf balls.  That is literally the only thing he’ll accept or like!  🙂

My dad doesn’t believe in having a lot of clothes. All of his music is classic rock, so he has all of the albums. My mom buys him the cologne. He isn’t good with technology (doesn’t have a smartphone). All I can think about getting him is something for his grill. >.>

Dad’s are so hard to shop for.  I did a birthday / father’s gift for mine and got him the new iPhone.  He was thrilled.  I love the Birchbox Man!  I didn’t know they did men’s products too!

ugh my dad is a HUGE pain to shop for too. literally won’t wear ‘nice’ clothes. I think a soft tee like the Pete’s tavern one would be a great compromise!
