DIY: Gold Bar Necklace

Sometimes I make a project and its so easy that I feel guilty calling it a DIY.  And then I remember that simple is sometimes better, and that in this case, I made something that I’d been wanting for a while now… (it just happened to be really easy to make.)

So, let’s talk about Pipe Nipples.  Yes, seriously… that’s what they are called.  I stumbled upon these lovely little things while buying something else for another project in the plumbing aisle of Home Depot and got really, really excited.  Jumping may have been involved.  You see, I’m having a major moment right now with bar jewelry.  I have this guy from Gorjana, but a friend of mine showed up to lunch a while back wearing a much chunkier, substantial version… ever since then, I’ve had my eye out for something just like what I made above!

Materials/Where to Buy:  A-716 Brass Pipe Nipple (for short necklace) // A-717 Brass Pipe Nipple (for longer necklace)

Brass Chain // 2 Jump Rings // Lobster Clasp

Voila… easy, peasy… and so much fun to wear.

Pipe nipples… SMH. OK yea so this is a super easy DIY, but the end result looks pretty much like something you would see for $$$ so it’s a huge win none-the-less 😉
