My Favorite Mid Day Pick-Me-Up!

My Favorite Mid Day Pick-Me-Up!

When the days drag on, I need a little pick me up! Of course, there’s always coffee, but my personal favorite is ducking out of work (aka home, as I work from home) for an hour to take a yoga class. Since I work for myself, I wind up working at night and on the weekend quite a bit so I don’t feel guilty taking those mid-day breaks.

The perfect complement to those mid-day breaks? Olay’s new Hydrating Mists! Olay sent me their new mists (they have both an energizing and relaxing one) and I have a few thoughts! First of all – It makes me so happy to see more drugstore brands adding new luxurious items (like facial mists) to their lineup. It’s nice to see more brands adding pampering items like this at an affordable price point and Olay skincare is leading the charge! Second – I take it everywhere. It’s amazing after yoga or a workout but honestly, it’s just nice any time you feel tired or like you need a little pick me up or want to improve skin hydration.

My Favorite Mid Day Pick-Me-Up!

I get asked a lot when/why you should use a face mist. The answer is any time! (If you listen to our podcast you know this… I’m obsessed.) I always have a mist with me – at my desk, by my bed, I could go on! (I also have + love Olay’s relaxing mist). Here are my favorite times to use a mist.

AFTER THE GYM OR YOGA

This is my favorite… it just feels good! I love spritzing this on after a workout class. It’s the perfect boost of hydration and refreshment.

AT WORK

The Olay mist won’t mess up your makeup as it’s formulated perfectly to be extremely lightweight – it’s the perfect way to revive dull/tired skin without needing to reapply your makeup.

TO BOOST SKIN HYDRATION

This is a big one for me as my skin gets so dry, especially in the colder months. Throughout the day, your skin constantly loses hydration. Water loss can actually increase by over 50% during the course of the day, even when you’re wearing moisturizer. Olay’s Mist provides an immediate 60% boost in hydration and the vitamin B3 complex in the mist helps to strengthen the skin barrier which helps your skin better hold onto hydration.

Olay’s Energizing Mist contains a ton of great ingredients to leave skin feeling brighter, revitalized, refreshed, and energized!

  • Vitamin C – a powerhouse antioxidant for brightening and evening out skin tone.
  • Bergamot – Olay’s is grown in Southern France and Italy and is extracted from the peel of the fruit.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) a skin loving ingredient that (as mentioned above) helps to strengthen the barrier of the skin so that it holds onto moisturizer for longer!)

  1. I love facial mists! I currently use one by Clinique but it’s not very good. Might check out Olay’s! 🙂

    Hi Grace-
I can’t wait to try this mist! I also ordered the Olay mask stick, have you tried that? It looks great, too. Great post!

Grace, you are radiating! I know you said on BOP you’re trying to diet but I think you look great!

Would you mind linking to your sweater and jeans? I already the Vince shoes (my fav!) but I love your outfit!

That sweater looks like the perfect cozy item for this awful weather.

    Thank you!

I know this post was about the facial mist but I LOVE that bag. What’s the brand?

Agree! Makes me so happy to see more drugstore brands adding more luxe products (like mists and masks) to their offerings.
