Okay, I have a lot to tell you with regard to this outfit.

First of all, you probably need a faux fur scarf. And no, it doesn’t have to be pink. My exact one also happens to come in burgundy which (as much as I love the pink!) is a little bit less crazy. I also love this one which looks exactly like a (real) vintage fur that I also have. You’ll be surprised at how much you wear it. Over a leather jacket or blazer, over a coat, over a tee… to a formal event over your dress… I have built up a little collection and get so much mileage out of them all! I put a bunch of fun options in the widget below.

The second thing is these jeans. We have touched upon trying to find “cool girl denim” that actually fits (read this post for the full rant) and this pair is just amazing! They are from Re/done, a sustainable company that takes old Levi’s and fashions them into something new. I am a little bit obsessed with the company but especially this pair – I find them to be pretty true to size, chic, and just… my absolute favorite!

This has kinda just been a week. My heater is broken so I’ve been freezing cold for the past few days – my super finally brought me some space heaters (and it’s finally warming up) but as a result I’ve come down with a pretty bad cold. So now, during my busiest time of year (when I take extra care to be healthy so that I don’t get sick), I am sick. Add to that just annoying stuff that keeps adding up (owing more taxes than I thought I did, the laundromat not being able to find any of my dry cleaning, going to the ATM across the street and having it be out of order only to go to the next closest one and have that be out of order too). Stupid, little things just keep on piling up!

This outfit it so cute, love the pink snood. If it wasn’t so hot here I would totally get it. Take care of yourself and don’t let the little things phase you, you got this.

Sorry to hear about the shitty week, I’ve been tackling a cold as well it must be that time of year.

On a lighter note – I’ve been seeing these faux fur stoles popping up and am definitely intrigued. I’ll admit, on first blush (no pun intended) the pink seems a little out there but I am coming around to it. Would also work great with a red look for Valentine’s Day (just sayin’). I am also really into this denim style, of the slightly baggy/straight leg look. I found some great options at H&M as well.

Hope you feel better soon! xx

UGH it seems like everyone has a cold right now!! I hope you spring for a faux fur stole! Yes the pink is a litttttle bit crazy but the burgundy one is a bit more tame!

Hope you feel better soon too! xoxo

Girl, I’m with you this week. My building didn’t turn on the heat all weekend (which I know is illegal) and promised space heaters that never came! Ended up staying in a hotel in Brooklyn Heights though, which was a nice treat. I’m sorry we were both without heat on what felt like the most freezing weekend ever and that you’re not feeling well 🙁

Oh gosh I am so sorry to hear that. And yes it is illegal which is the worst… I didn’t want to report my building as they are nice people and let me get away with a lot as a renter (painting my floors, wallpapering, etc!!!)

Your pink fur wrap is amazing! Love the gold heels to dress it up even more!

Those kind of weeks are the absolute worst! It has to get better, right?!

I was curious how you found the sizing on the Re/Done jeans. I haven’t had much luck in finding a pair that fits well – there’s a been a lot of returns to Net-A-Porter haha. Did you take your normal size in the boyfriend style?

    Thanks!

      It definitely will.

I found the Re/Done jeans to be pretty true to size. I also had a lot of returns. I am typically either a 28 or 29 in jeans, and got a 29 in these. There isn’t any stretch in them so they are a little tight at first but then they sort of loosen over time to fit your body. I would HIGHLY recommend these (truly, have tried on so much bad denim this month and these are the best yet! The other ones I love are the Citizens jeans from this post! https://thestripe.com/2017/11/10-best-cozy-sweaters-acne-studios-dramatic-mohair-sweater/
