Cape Cod Brights!

So I guess I’m really dragging out the Cape Cod posts? This is the last of them, and quite possibly my personal favorite as the photos turned out so happy and fun (and also, ice cream, which I promptly devoured upon finishing taking photos). Funny story about this, I live in a small town on the Cape (Dennis, MA) and no fewer than three high school friends/acquaintances DM’d me/texted saying they saw us taking photos outside of the Ice Cream Smuggler. So embarrassing! Blogging can be so weird sometimes.

I love this Free People Jumpsuit so much. I’m really feeling cropped, wide leg jumpsuits right now. This one is great as it kinda looks like a midi dress but then nope, it’s a jumpsuit (way better for bike rides and windy days). I’m coming to find out that (on my body, at least) jumpsuits are most flattering when I keep the silhouette similar to my favorite dresses: nipped in at the waist, wide-legged, and cropped where possible to show my ankles/not look huge all over. A few more jumpsuits I’m coveting include this lovely lavender one (lavender is such a pretty color but I never buy it and I don’t know why – it looks great with a tan), this vivid-red orange one (one of my favorite colors to wear), this hot pink one, and this amazing printed one (seriously how good is that print!)

I fly to Charleston this afternoon… I’m just going for a few days to see friends – it should be fun! It will be hot but I think we’ll spend most of our time at the beach which will be perfect. This has been a fun week. Coldplay on Tuesday was probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen… I’ve been listening to them pretty much non-stop since. Their shows are always incredible (this was my 7th Coldplay show, actually!).. a great mix of music, lighting, confetti… Chris Martin is such an incredible performer and I always leave feeling so inspired!

More fab jumpsuits...

Like I said, the best jumpsuits (for my body type) are the ones that could pass for my favorite midi-dresses. A nipped in waist (that could be a belt, or just nice tailoring), a cropped silhoutte, and wider legs. Here are a few more favorites…

    Hi Grace:

long time reader. We go to Charleston on Tuesday, I am so excited. I have printed your list of favorite spots and will reference it. Yes, indeed it will be hot ! Everyone keeps telling me to wear breezy and linen! We have opted to stay in Mt. Pleasant on the harbor, hopefully it will be nice.

    • oh good!!! Have so much fun! We’ll just miss eachother… I leave tomorrow and get back on Sunday. xo

Totally thought this was a dress at first! It’s so cute you may have changing my opinion on jumpsuits.

Also, Ice Cream Smuggler! The best! My family has a place in Dennis, one of my very favorite places. 🙂

I love this jumpsuit!! Definitely agree that they’re best for windy days and active days spent on a bike. The bright color is perfect for the summertime, too 🙂

Do you mind disclosing your size in the jumpy? Obsessed!

    • Sure! I’m wearing a size 6! I am about 5’8 for reference. It’s pretty true to size.

Have you ever visited the store Pema in Williamsburg? I actually got a very very similar (and super reasonably priced) jumpsuit in the same style as this Free People one. I am obsessed with it! I’d definitely recommend checking them out, especially since you’re now in Brooklyn 🙂
