Cocktail Hour: The French 75.

easy french 75 recipe - the stripe.

Today’s cocktail hour is inspired by my friend Deirdre. Besides being an amazing DJ + champagne & oyster enthusiast/connoisseur, she’s also the jewelry designer behind Candy Shop Vintage. For Christmas, she gave me this amazing charm bracelet which has all the ingredients you need to make the French 75 – champagne, gin, lemon, sugar, + the shaker and cocktail glass you serve it in! The bracelet as actually inspired in part by the famous martini charm bracelet auctioned off at Sotheby’s from Bunny Mellon’s estate. It’s become one of my favorite party pieces. I was inspired to recreate the recipe here, and though I’m not a huge gin person, I really love it – it’s refreshing and just tart enough.

  • Prosecco (6 oz)

My go-to cocktail. I’ve tried making them at home a few times but have never been very successful, I’ll have to give this recipe a go. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE this bracelet and I’ve long admired it; I just wish the price tag was a bit lower. Maybe one day!
