If you are a regular reader in these parts, then you know I am an avid reader. My monthly reading lists are my favorite posts to put together, and I LOVE getting your recommendations on what to read next – I often find myself shopping off of your comments.
With the holidays upon us, who better to turn to for holiday gifts than then Barnes & Noble. This year they created a special Holiday Gift Guide . Barnes & Noble has enhanced it by segmenting it into curated lists that reflect the common questions customers ask booksellers in-store, making gift-giving a more seamless experience. You can shop by recipient, and categories include “Headline-Worthy Gifts For Political Junkies,” “Must-Have Fiction Books of 2017,” and “Captivating Books for the History Buff” to tailor gifts to the hobbies and interests of any and every gift recipient. My personal favorite (obviously!) is “Up All Night Reads for the Thriller Obsessed…” but there’s truly something for everyone which makes finding the perfect gift for the harder to shop for recipient a cinch.
This month, after combing through your suggestions + comments on my reading list, I was particularly drawn to three of your recommendations: Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History (another political memoir), My Absolute Darling (it sounds amazing but also very emotional & graphic), and The Alice Network (more historical fiction). I’m planning to order those + a few more books for friends + my family. (My dad is so hard to shop for so I always get him a few books.
Whether I end up gifting or just keeping for myself – I am excited to use this holiday tool while reading these new finds.
