Life: Getting Back to Normal.

So. I’ve been doing this freelance thing for two weeks. It’s interesting, that’s for sure. I will say this: I didn’t realize how truly burnt out I was until I took a step back and actually slowed down. I was just. so. damn. tired. And I still am, if we’re being honest. I’ve been taking things easy and just getting back to normal. But what is normal really? To be honest, I don’t actually know, so I’ve been thinking about what my normal looks like and how to get there.

Stripe Finds // Little discoveries you'll love

Bling, Bling

This is the prettiest necklace. Period. It straddles the line between statement and delicate and looks like it could have come from your grandmother’s jewelry box. I wear it at least once a week, layered or alone. And it comes in three different metals. (love the new gunmetal version.)

This lip sheer (in rose) is right now, my absolute favorite lipstick. I wear it every day. I love that it’s all natural, and it delivers the perfect wash of sheer color. It moisturizes incredibly well, doesn’t feather, and looks good on everyone. The pretty packaging doesn’t hurt either.

I’ve been living in these boots from Freda Salvador. I love that they come with a removable “bracelet” for a bit more embellishment, but you can also wear them on their own. The quality is incredible (they’re handmade in Spain) and they’re so comfortable, too!

Everyone’s buzzing about The Girl on the Train (it’s been hailed the new Gone Girl), so I picked it up last week… and finished it in a matter of 36 hours. It’s a page turner. If you’re in need of a stay-in-bed-all-day and read kind of weekend, get this!
