Oh hai. Happy Weekend. What a week! I had one of those weeks that was so much fun that I couldn’t actually believe it was my life. A dinner with Tori Praver at Claudette, a fun dinner at the Tasting Table test kitchen, seeing Chicago (the musical) live for the first time, a slew of cool meetings, and a party at a super cool art gallery last night.

My friend Felicia (from This That Beauty) has the most beautiful headband. It looks like jewelry. I think it’s from Jennifer Behr. Seeing her out and about at one of many holiday parties inspired me… and made me think. You can toss your hair in a messy bun and still look amazing with a headband like that. So, I set out to make my own. And as luck would have it, it was rather easy…

This lip sheer (in rose) is right now, my absolute favorite lipstick. I wear it every day. I love that it’s all natural, and it delivers the perfect wash of sheer color. It moisturizes incredibly well, doesn’t feather, and looks good on everyone. The pretty packaging doesn’t hurt either.
I’ve been living in these boots from Freda Salvador. I love that they come with a removable “bracelet” for a bit more embellishment, but you can also wear them on their own. The quality is incredible (they’re handmade in Spain) and they’re so comfortable, too!
Everyone’s buzzing about The Girl on the Train (it’s been hailed the new Gone Girl), so I picked it up last week… and finished it in a matter of 36 hours. It’s a page turner. If you’re in need of a stay-in-bed-all-day and read kind of weekend, get this!
