My little apartment may not be completely perfect but it is very “me” and it makes me so happy. Perfectly imperfect, we could say. I had been saying for a long time now that it was time to replace my coffee table, and so last week (in the spirit of summer, getting organized, and lightening up a bit) I finally parted ways with my heavy wooden coffee table in favor of a more streamlined marble version. I loved the wood, but in a small space, it felt very overpowering. The marble feels so much more light and open. I got it at Horchow, which has quickly become one of my absolute favorite places for all things home. Now I’m craving all of the marble… I also really love this coffee table that just came in and this (incredible!) bar cart.
To accessorize it, I picked up this mirrored glass tray (l-o-v-e… for reference, mine is the smaller size), a brass tic-tac-toe set (I had wanted a chess set but this felt a bit more playful, this whimsical brass elephant sculpture, and of course… this owl wine opener (I’m so obsessed with him – he looks like he’s spreading his wings as you open a bottle of wine).
Also, I’m beginning to think Tyrion is becoming a bit less camera shy. When we were taking these photos, he just jumped right up and wanted to be a part of the action! Progress.
Pouring a glass of Domaines Ott Blanc de Blancs.. one of my favorite summer wines.
See what I mean? Open the wine, see the owl spread his wings…
PS – my dress is the best and it’s only $69! Shop it here.
