During a recent peruse of net-a-porter, I stumbled across the very lovely – but at $150, a bit pricey for what it is, Proenza Schouler rope bracelet. I was instantly smitten with the bright colors and the “this-came-from-the-hardware-store” feel. I immediately set out to make one myself, and with this easy tutorial, you can too!
What you’ll need: About a foot (enough to wrap around your wrist twice) of multi-colored cord – I used some that my sister bought me in India, but both Hope Depot and MJ Trim have a great selection, masking tape, a hook closure also from Home Depot, and embroidery floss. I also snagged some pretty fabulous neon yellow cord at the hardware store, but that’s optional.
